Following his return to civilian life from military service in 1997, Robert T. Prior began a private practice in Madison and the Lake Oconee area. Michael C. Daniel left military service in 1988 and after leaving the U.S. Attorneys Office in 1992 began a private practice in Athens. In 2005, Mr. Daniel left the firm Fortson, Bentley & Griffin in Athens and joined Mr. Prior to form the firm Prior & Daniel. Lee R. Moss joined the firm and has been practicing in Madison since 2001.

Morris H. Wiltshire, Jr. "Mo" was appointed by Governor Perdue as Solicitor-General for Athens-Clarke County in 2005 and served in that post until January 1, 2007 where he lead the office charged with the prosecution of all matters in the State Court of Clarke County and Athens City Courts. When his term as Solicitor-General expired, Mo resumed the private practice of law by joining Prior and Daniel, whereupon the firm became known as Prior, Daniel & Wiltshire. R. Stan Baker joined the firm as an associate in 2006 and practices out of the Athens office. The firm presently has offices located in Athens and Madison, Georgia.

After two years at 598 South Milledge Avenue, our Athens office moved to its current location in the Cheney House on 490 N. Milledge Avenue. With the firm's interest in historic preservation, the restored Cheney House provides a wonderful work environment for our attorneys and ample meeting space for interaction with clients. Housing three conference rooms, three attorneys, paralegals and support staff, the Athens office is well equipped to provide a wide range of legal services.
