BOB PRIOR is a Partner with Prior, Daniel & Wiltshire, LLC. Bob, a Madison native, is a 1982 graduate of Morgan County High School. He received an appointment to the United Stated Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and graduated from Annapolis in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Upon graduation from Annapolis, Mr. Prior was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps where he served for eleven years. After training at Quantico, Virginia, his initial tour of duty was spent as an infantry officer in command of various Marine units at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and with Marine Expeditionary Forces in the Mediterranean. He was then assigned as a Series Officer at Parris Island, South Carolina. While at Parris Island, Mr. Prior was selected for the Marine Corps Funded Legal Education Program, and he attended law school while on active duty.

He received his J.D. from Mercer University law school in 1993. The remainder of his Marine Corps tour was spent engaged in courtroom work and legal services for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island and the Marine Corps Eastern Recruiting Region, which included all Marine Corps Recruiting Stations east of the Mississippi.

Upon leaving the Marine Corps in 1997, Mr. Prior began private practice in the Madison and Lake Oconee areas. His practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions, banking and finance, business transactions, corporate work, and estate planning and probate. He has served as county attorney for two Lake Oconee counties and represents many area businesses, developers and banks.

Mr. Prior currently serves as a Chairman of the Morgan County Board of Education, and as a Director of the Bank of Madison. He is also a Trustee of the Morgan County Community Foundation, past member of the City of Madison Downtown Development Authority, past Chairman of the Madison/Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, and a deacon in the Madison Baptist Church.

Mr. Prior is married to the former Mary Ann Cunningham, also of Madison. Bob and Mary Ann have four children, Grace, Robert, William and Daniel, all of whom attend Morgan County schools.
